Our UV sterilisers are suitable for a wide range of tools including nail clippers, tweezers, scissors, comedone extractors, cuticle pushers, and other non-porous implements used in beauty and hair treatments.
3. Are UV sterilisers safe to use in salons?
Yes. Our professional UV sterilisers are CE-certified and salon-safe. They’re enclosed units that allow safe disinfection without exposing staff or clients to UV light.
4. How long does it take to sterilise tools?
Typical sterilisation cycles take between 15–30 minutes depending on the device. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for optimal sanitisation time and loading guidelines.
5. Is UV sterilisation enough for complete disinfection?
UV sterilisation is effective at killing many microbes, but it works best when used after cleaning tools of visible debris. It’s a powerful final step in your sanitation routine and supports compliance with industry hygiene standards.
6. Can I use UV sterilisers for tools with plastic or rubber parts?
Yes, as long as the tool is non-porous and heat-resistant. UV light won’t melt or damage hard plastics, metals, or rubber used in most professional-grade salon tools. Avoid using on porous materials or items that could block UV exposure.
7. How do I maintain my UV steriliser?
To keep your unit performing well, clean the interior regularly and wipe down the UV bulb with a soft cloth (when cool) to remove dust. Replace the bulb as needed, usually once per year, depending on usage.
8. Do your UV sterilisers include removable trays or compartments?
Many of our sterilisers include removable trays, racks, or drawers for organised loading. These make it easier to access and clean your tools while keeping them separated during the sterilisation process.
9. Do you offer fast delivery on UV sterilisers?
Yes. Most of our UV sterilisers qualify for Free Next Day DPD Delivery when you spend over £65 + VAT (Mainland UK). Place your order before 1pm for same-day dispatch on in-stock items.
10. Can I return a UV steriliser if it’s not suitable?
You can return unused UV sterilisers within 15 days of delivery, provided they are in original packaging. A 25% restocking fee may apply to electrical equipment. Please email info@salonserve.com to request a return.
