How to Select Salon Eyebrow Tint or Eyelash Tint Colour
Selecting the correct salon eyebrow tint or eyelash tint colour for your client is key to a professional result. Although some clients may already have a preference, others will turn to your expertise to help them choose the best shade for their current hair colour and skin tone. Follow our guidelines below to choose the perfect tint for your client.
Blonde to Light Brown Hair: For platinum to light blonde hair, it’s normally best to select a single shade darker. This will achieve a natural result and still give a noticeably improved shape and add definition to the brows. If your client has ash blonde to pale brown hair or a warm skin tone, you can afford to go two shades darker than their hair colour.
Mid-to-Dark Brown Hair: In almost all cases, one shade darker is the way to go for mid-to-dark brown hair. For clients with a warm skin tone, you might want to mix a light and dark brown, and for clients with darker skin tones and hair colour, mix black with dark brown for a more natural finish and depth of colour.
Auburn Hair: With an endless variety of shades, auburn hair can range from deep red to bright copper tones. As a general rule, all tones of auburn hair will suit a mid-brown colour, which you can create by mixing light and dark brown. Go for a deeper colour for darker skin tones, and for hair with a lot of copper, opt for a chestnut tint, which you can adjust with a dark or light brown.
