The No.14 blade is commonly used in aesthetic procedures like dermaplaning, a technique that gently resurfaces the skin's top layers through controlled surgical scraping, effectively exfoliating the epidermis. It is often paired with the smaller, more rounded 10R "butter blade"
Dermaplaning can be performed on targeted areas or the entire face and may be used alone or alongside treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or fluorescent pulsed light (FPL).
