The No.10R Stainless Steel Blade, commonly known as the “butter blade”, is a professional-grade tool widely used in aesthetic and dermaplaning treatments. Designed for controlled exfoliation, it helps refinish the skin’s surface by gently removing dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz).
Shorter and more rounded than a No.14 blade, the 10R blade is ideal for smaller, more restricted areas of the face, including around the nose and jawline. Its rounded bull-nose tip reduces the risk of accidental snagging or scratching, ensuring a safer, smoother and more consistent finish.
Dermaplaning with a No.10R blade can be performed as a standalone treatment or combined with other advanced procedures such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion or FPL treatments. When used prior to these services, dermaplaning enhances treatment effectiveness by removing surface debris and peach fuzz that can trap excess oil and impurities.
