Catch Up with Salonserve – July 2021 Issue

I recently read a post that described the relationship of the seller to consumer, and it made me smile. It said, 

“I want you to think for a minute. Think about your life.

Think about the transactions you have in your business as the executive buyer for all kinds of products and services for your business and in your personal life as a consumer for necessities around the home, for products or services that you use for indulgences.

Think about the people you deal with and think about the people in your life that you respect the most because they are not passive. They are not willing to solicitously and ponderously let you buy anything you want. They take a stand. They assert themselves.”

It then went on to talk about a father buying his son his first bike and how he wanted the most expensive one. He was advised the most costly was not the right option, a first time bike would very likely be knocked around and soon have to be upgraded once the child had outgrown it.

I related to the post because it portrayed the image of a lifelong relationship; it is permanent. We are connected to you, and we are here for you. From the initial transaction, you become a valued client and friend, and from then on, I have a responsibility to help you and concern myself with your well-being and business success. With every product we put together and source we have this in mind at all times.

Is it the right quality for the salon and is it the right price? Will it give you what you need to get your business to where it needs to be? I like to think of us as the friendly bicycle seller, always interested in what’s best for you.
